First Soccer Game Spring 2010

The boys' first soccer game for this season was on 3/27. Cade scored the first goal of the season and Brendan had several great passes. I also saw him "trapping" the ball - stopping it and kicking in a different direction instead of running around to get behind the ball - during the first half, and that was the technique Coach encouraged during half-time. The final score was 2-1.

Bren's first game took place on their birthday - a nice b-day present from the Lord! He had been looking forward to soccer starting again since last season concluded. His team has four or five new members, and all of the old players came back except for Cade. Cade's football team made it to the playoffs so their season is continuing.

Highlights: Brendan scored! He also assisted on a goal. He passed to one of the girls, I think it was Sahara, and she scored. Their team is really focusing on passing, and he is doing a great job. They got new uniforms this season; the uniforms are black and yellow, so the new team name is ... the Killer Bees!

Later that day Bren turned in his Candy Extravaganza ticket to Nick so we all went to the mall for Fuddruckers and then Nick took Bren to the candy store. Cade and I went home and took naps. When Bren and Nick came over Nick fell asleep too, and Cade woke up so around 9 the boys started trying to wake us up ... we rolled out of bed in time to have about an hour's worth of fun at Peter Piper.

Swimming at KASS

Bren's first swimming lesson of a 4-week/8 lesson session. The lessons are at KASS, and his instructor is really friendly and quickly established good rapport with Bren. Bren loves the lessons! In fact, he said he had a "triple whammy blast" after his lessons.

3rd Grade

First day of 3rd grade. The boys are in separate classes again, with new teachers and classmates.

Football

Cade's first football game. He is #81 on the Ravens. At first he hated football. He would cry and throw a fit before the practices which are numerous, and then he would even cry at practice. Eventually he got to the point where he had fun at practice and even looked forward to games, although he still says he doesn't want to play again.
